Simone Vimercati - biography
His passion is Jazz, but he loves
contaminations: from Jazzdance, Soul, Latin, Funk,
Bossanova and Soundtracks to the new sounds of New Jazz,
New Bossa ed ElectroJazz.
In 2004 he cooperated with Lifegate Radio as author and selector for the radioshow Blend of Jazz.
Since 2005 he has been producing Jazz It Up !!!
He also worked with the Right Tempo label on the selection for The Platinum Compilation, and he took part to the Possibilities conference as speaker. This event was organised by Gege’ Telesforo’s Groove Master Edition during the MEI 2006 (indipendent labels’ meeting), dedicated to the new music realities, festivals and productions of Italian and European Jazz.
His dj-sets recall the eclectic attitude of Jazz It Up !!! with a new mixture of dance sounds going from Latin to Dancefloor Jazz, from Soul to Funk, from Acid Jazz to Nu Jazz.
During the years, he has played in various clubs/venues such as:
